How to Jump-Start Your New Year’s Resolutions

Are you a New Year’s resolution kind of person? There are varying schools of thought on the subject, from huge goals all the way down to the “why even try” mindset. I admit, I’ve been through the whole gamut myself throughout my life. But no matter how you look at it, a new year (and even more so - a new decade) can bring a fresh start and an opportunity for personal growth, which is great news!

Whether you’re a resolutions person or not, would you argue that you wouldn’t want more health, confidence, success, and happiness? I’ve gathered some personal tips that have helped me along my journey and I can’t wait to share them with you!

Let’s get a jump-start!!

IDENTIFY YOUR PASSIONS & SKILLS

What do you want to learn more of? Taking risks is part of growing. YOU ARE NOT STUCK WITH WHAT YOU KNOW NOW. Everything can be learned, if you are willing.

Instead of: “I’m fine, there’s nothing I really need to change”, ask yourself, “Am I really at my best right now? What can I do to improve my well-being”?

MAKE THE EFFORT

Let’s be clear, no one ever got where they wanted to be by wishing it were so. Once you’ve identified the area you want to grow, a plan is imperative to making it happen. THIS IS GOING TO BE DIFFICULT, AND IT’S GOING TO HELP YOU. There’s going to be a lot to figure out along the way and it’ll be worth every second. Don't freak out though! We got your back with our FREE Goal Planning Worksheet to help you get it out of your head and into your hands.

PREPARE FOR SETBACKS & ASK FOR FEEDBACK

Setbacks are inevitable. You just can’t win 100% of the time. The question is, is it going to be an opportunity to throw in the towel? Or will you learn to try a new strategy? When you can recognize where your weaknesses lie, you’ll be much more likely to persist in new ways to reach your goal.

Don’t forget to look to other talented peers that have already reached the goal you’re striving for. Ask yourself (or them, if possible), “How did they do it? How can I figure it out?”.

Can I make a confession? I must have thrown out 11 million prototypes before I settled on the design for our #1 selling ADVENTURER cosmetic bag. Sometimes it just takes that long to get it right. I’m happy to say it’s all made better because I learned from each mistake.

So, what WIN are you calling for 2020? I'm so excited to see you succeed, friend! So excited, in fact, that I've created a FREE worksheet for you to help you on your journey! Grab it here and let's get started:
